Default saving contacts to Google instead of phone?

Hey just a quick question for ROM developers/ request for an upcoming ROM ... Is it possible to default saving contacts to Google rather than the phone? I always seem to forget to change it to Google ans once it saves you can't change it...

Contacts should be synced to your google account by default but if not just go into your settings select Accounts and Sync and then select your google account and turn contacts sync on there

Sorry should have been more specific. I mean when saving a new contact. It defaults to adding it to the phone and even with Google sync it does not sync those contacts over unless you remembered to change the pull down menu to Google when you were first saving the new contact. So I guess what I'm asking is can we default that pull down menu to Google instead of the phone
