Delay when Opening Slider

When my phone is locked and I open the keyboard slider to unlock it, there is a delay where the unlock pattern appears smaller in the center of the screen and then shows up in its appropriate spot. Is this normal or is something wrong with my phone? The delay does not occur when I unlock with the power button vertically.

I've seen others on here mention the same behavior, so I'm sure it's nothing wrong with your phone.

Software bug. Same thing happened on my droid and my dad's. Maybe it'll get fixed.

I now also seem to have a delay when waking up the phone with the button on top vertically. I'm not sure if this happened before, but the four buttons light, before the screen.

Mine does that every time. Kind of annoys me a little but I have gotten used to it.
