delete pop email account

[newdroidhtc]

I have 2 pop email accounts. would like to remove one of the accounts but do no know which screen to begin on have tried
Applications
selected ) mail
tapped upper corner displays Select account
options are
new account
1st email account
2nd email account

if I select the account with long touch nothing happens/ if short touch goes directly to emails.
also tried
settings but do not see access to emails

Go to your inbox, long press on account and choose to remove.

From the option at the bottom of homepage tap on all programs found mail
Tapped on mail selected the pop mail I want to delete
I see the inbox long touch does not open any options to delete

In Email, access the menu, choose Accounts. Long press on the account and you'll get a menu with the option to remove the account.
