Deleted text message making light come on

I got a couple of spam text messages and instead of reading them I just deleted them and now everytime I turn my phone off it shows I have a notification from a text message but when I go in to text messaging app is the text message still isn't there I tried rebooting my phone in order to fix this problem but it did not fix it

By turn off, you mean when you put your phone to sleep right?? Reboot your phone... it should clear it.

Restarted the phone twice still no dice any other suggestions

I'm grasping at straws here but can you go into the offending apps and clear data.

Did you delete the messages, or did you merely clear them from your notifications???

Also there have been instances of people having to call vzw to get the notifications dealt with.

Deleted messages, I have light flow also if that matters

I've had an issue lately with pic uploads getting hung up going to Facebook. Similar scenario. Clear all of your messages. Make sure you don't have any emails or notifications of any other kind that could be hanging you up.

If not, clear data on light flow and see if that helps. Also, you may consider calling vzw, I've heard of instances where things got hung up in between..
