Deleting an application

Can someone tell me how to delete facebook app from my droid..it isn't listed under the manage section...I ended up synching with ev1 on a list on facebook and don't want them all on my phone! Is there a way to get rid of that contact list...if not how do I just delete the whole application (yeah, I am noooo techie) thanks

Don't worry about what rooted means.

Facebook is integrated into Android 2.0, so there is no deleting the facebook app, as it currently stands.

What you can do however, is un-sync your facebook contacts.

Go into Settings, then Accounts & Sync, and turn off contact sync with your facebook account.

You can log into Gmail and delete them that way. I had to do some cleaning up myself.
