Dev Support?

I'm considering getting a phone this week. I know the Maxx HD has a locked bootloader and all but typically that doesn't stand in the way of a phone getting decent Dec support. I recall the D2 and D3 getting ICS roms pretty quickly, which always ticked me off as a Thunderbolt owner. But from what I can are there aren't any roms for the locked VZW version yet. Will that change? Is there not a big following behind this phone? Thanks!!

It will get Developer support (My Oppinion) but due to the locked nature of the device it will be limited, not as much development as the HTC devices.
