Developer options

Should there be "Developer Options" in the settings? Also I don't have that little padlock on bootup? Anyone else?

I have never had this option on one of my phone before, what can be done with this. Sorry to ask so many apparent dumb questions but the Thunderbolt I had before had a lot less options.

Jailguard, you can ask as many questions as you need to. Some answers you can find by doing a search but the search function does not always give the best results and when it is a new phone like the M, a lot of people will have the same question, so quite okay.

The developer options is new with ICS (I'm trying to remember if it was there with gingerbread but I don't think so). The only thing you probably want to touch in there is checking USB debugging. The rest of the options are helpful for developers.
