Did a reset from privacy settings and now no service

So I was having an issue with 2 apps and I just decided it's been over a year, maybe resetting will help.

Reset fixed my problem and sped up my droid quite a bit, but now after I activate my phone, it won't get service. I've done the *2289 or wutever it was and still no luck. Been about an hour, so it said service should be up in 15mins.

Any ideas other than just calling verizon on another phone? (I dont have another phone, so would have to go to my brothers).

Wow, so I ended up having to get my brother to call verizon for me and they walked us through a 10 minute fix for my phone where I was changing CDMA numbers and god knows what else.

This was definitely not quick and easy like some posts suggest doing a privacy*Reset would be to get back to normal.

Is this what you ended up doing?

With the slide closed, tap the Phone Icon and dial ##7764726 then tap phone icon

-SPC Password is 000000 and tap verify

-select User Activation

-Tap MIN Box and delete existing info and add your MIN *

-Enter MDN as well

-Find SID # and input it here **

-Press Done to save info an return to user activation and then press Home key and phone should reset after programming

Yeah, i'm not sure why it was needed, but I assure you, i tried everything before having to contact verizon.

I thought it might be because it was a replacement phone and that when I reset the phone it went back to the old owners #'s or something, but I'm sure they do factory resets before they send out a replacement phone so I still don't know.
