Different notification tones for text messages?

I would like to be notified by a ring tone when I get a text message, but not when I get an email, and there doesn't seem to be a way to differentiate them on the Droid. Any suggestions?

If your using the stock messaging app try this:

Open app, tap menu (soft key at the bottom on the left of the home icon), tap settings,scroll to notifications settings and tap, tap select ringtone.

If you are using the stock email app, open app, tap settings, tap select ringtone, select silent or turn off email notifications( this will eliminate any notice in your notification bar).
