Different virtual keyboards for landscape and portrait orientations

It would be awesome to be able to use different virtual keyboards based on orientation. Like swype for portrait and the android default for landscape. Check out the feature request on the android website and star it so we can possibly get this feature implemented.

We really need this. Swype in portrait. Smart keyboard with the physical keyboard out for auto correct.

i'm gonna see what it takes to make an app that allows this. i am just starting out with the whole developing thing, so it might be a little while, but i could see a lot of people wanting to use swipe for portrait but a regular keyboard for landscape.

personally i just use the HTC_IME keyboard or the physical keyboard, but i have seen numerous people ask for this functionality so i will see what it takes to make it happen.
