disable notification ringtone without disabling telephone ringtone

I cannot find a way to disable the ringtone for my email and text messaging notifications without disabling the ringtone for my incoming calls... any suggestions?

I'm brand new to the DNA so I don't yet know if there is a trick for this, but a looooong time ago I created a 10 second .mp3 of silence and named it.. you guessed it "Silent.mp3" because an old phone couldn't do what you're asking.

So just do the same and move it to the correct folder on your phone and it will show up in the notification tone selection.

In settings>Notifications there should be an option to turn off notications for each item, such as e-mail, text ect. I was able to disable the sound without losing the ringtone for calls.
