Disabled G+.....improved battery life

I saw from a post a while ago that by disabling G+ we could improve battery life. Well I've tried that for a week and battery life has increased by 20 - 30%. Just wanted to let you all know if you're struggling with your battery it might be worth a try.

Great tip! I personally don't really use G+ anymore, so I'll go ahead and uninstall the updates then disable it, should help battery life.

Interesting. I rarely use it either so I might try it out, will report back if I do.

Why should we have to disable these apps though....why is this thing killing the battery. Shouldn't be running when its not being used.

Its a Google phone. Why do we need to disable Google programs.

You definitely don't *have* to disable it. But if it's not being used then I say why not, especially if it helps out some peeps

Oh OK cause I was reading some comments and I just don't wanna disable things I shouldn't.

Is 4.0.3 update going to bring improvements especially in standby battery. I know people have flashed it rooted users.

It very well may improve on standby battery among other things. Unfortunately it is tough for us rooted users to comment since there are so many tweaks we do and the developers implement in the ROMs they build.

It's a shame... i disabled google+ also an battery life improved a lot... but its sad, if google+, came out now, maybe fb people who didn't like timeline would move over... it has more to offer than fb, just that fb isn't breaking down yet.... im waiting for the day people start moving over and starting using it, than maybe I'll enable and start using it again....
