When I put my Droid in the multimedia charger base, it displays an alarm clock. With the display in the dim mode (shades of blue) it's bright enough to light up my bedroom at night but the digits of the time are such low contrast I can't really read it during the night. If the digits were outlined or filled in black, it would be a big improvement but there are no settings for the alarm clock.
I poked around for alternative apps (like Helix Launcher replaces the default home screen) but all the clock-y things I found and tried lacked many of the features of the built-in app. Is there one someone can recommend?
