Does anyone know what format videos have to be in to be able to play on both the Droid X and through DLNA on the Xbox 360? I've already tried .mp4 and .avi.

Thanks in advance!

I have been trying to get this linked up, and everything is so vague. Any light on this would be great!

I set up the DLNA last night and to me it is useless for videos (on the Droid X) because the format is 3GP and I am not sure what plays that. I could not push any videos I took to my Popcorn or WDTV. It recognized them no problem. I do not have an XBox and I did not try with my PS3, but I don't believe you can push to PS3 because it is not a digital media renderer.

Xbox 360 is a DLNA Certified DMR Device. The functionality can be found under:

1.Go to Settings and select System.
2.Select Console Settings.
3.Select Connected Devices
4. Enable Play To

Xbox 360 supports the following video file formats:
•Windows Media Video (WMV) 7, WMV 8, and WMV 9
•WMV Image 1 (Photo Story 1 & 2) and WMV Image 2 (Photo Story 3)
•VC-1

•MPEG-2
•H.264/MPEG-4

The following audio formats are supported:
•Windows Media Audio (WMA) 7 through WMA 9

If you are using Windows 8, all videos which can be played locally on the PC/Surface/Tablet can also be streamed via DLNA/Play To to the Xbox. Windows 8 will auto-transcode when the format is not supported by Xbox.

Full list of supported formats is available at Play To | Play to on Xbox | Streaming media on Xbox - Xbox.com
