I rooted my phone and other than freezing some apps using titanium back up and the hot spot hack using SQLite i havent done anything to the phone. I am enrolled in the Motorla Feedback Program so when they have a soak test i have a good chance of being a part of it. If this is the case do you suggest I unroot completely or just unfreeze the apps? I understand the OTA will (may) break root adn i am fine with that i just want the update to go through succesfully.

Yeah but i want to know what is the safest thing to do to make sure the update goes through succesfully. Do i unroot and reset back to stock or just unfreeze the bloat ware?

To be accepted in the test you need to have a stock unrooted phone, when you get the update any traces of root or apps that only work on rooted devices (TiBU) will not allow you to download the update/soak test.
The soak tests are different than a regular "for the masses" OTA because the testers who will help decide if the OTA is ready need to have a clean phone to start with or the info collected could be flawed.

I'm glad I decided to wait for ICS before I decided if I really needed to root or not.

What do you say Cereal Killer? I figure you are in on the test also since you have a stock phone.

Ok I will unroot and unistall all the root-required apps. Thanks!

It's just like a regular OTA.
Root won't stop it and neither will Apps kile Titanium Backup.
Removed bloat or things that tweak battery icons and such will break the OTA.
If you are otherwise stock, except for root, the OTA soak normally works.
