do non andy market apps transfer to new phone?

Hello i have downloaded a few apps off of the "slideme" marketplace and didn't know if the apps are transferable to a new phone. Since some of the apps are paid i was worried about switching to a new phone in another month and having to repay for the same apps.

Just wondering if anyone knows or has had experience with this.

By doing a backup of your apps? I've heard of that, but thin you have to be rooted... not sure...

Go to the "slideme" marketplace and see if there's anything there about it, or maybe you could e-mail them... or even the developes of the app. You may also want to let them know which phone you have and what you're going to (if you know).
