does a new google drive backup delete a previous one?

i wanted to restore some old deleted data but in order to do so i would have to have a backup from a month ago (i use google drive as the backup) so my question is since my phone has backed up multiple times since then is that old backup gone?

I'm not sure to be honest, I don't know if each backup is full or if they are just incremental and all you get is the latest.

In any case what bkdodger said in another thread is the best advice: never restore from a backup, ever. Way too many issues after restoring from a backup.

I just checked my Google Drive and it looks like only one backup at a time is saved.

hey thanks for looking friend, i appreciate the help! i asked this in a previous question but when i get my new phone in a month (the deleted data was on that older backup but not this new one) won’t transfer over huh?
