Does facebook chat cost money

Hi I was wandering if facebook chat cost money, or possibly count a chat msg at a text msg.

By the way I have a Verizon unlimited data plan, I am not allowed to use one txt msg. Any info would be appreciated.

No chat I believe would only use data. I don't see how it would charge for a text.

The man is correct. Facebook chat uses your data connect, not texts or voice minutes. So it's no different to Verizon than loading a webpage.
