does it matter what folder you put music/video in or what the folder is named?

I don't see any specific folders for music or video, does it matter what folder you put these in or what the folder is named?

It shouldn't matter I don't think. I have music everywhere in folders not names music and they still play. It's not like putting music onto a PSP. I remember having to do it that way.

Correct. The media scanner will find them wherever they are. Unless you have a file named .nomedia in the same folder. That's how you prevent some folders from being scanned.
