Does "This American Life" work for anyone with Android 2.2?

I am a huge fan of TAL, but the app gets universally terrible reviews, mainly pertaining to the "network unavailable" error that renders it virtually useless.

However, it seems all the negative comments are left by those with 2.1, and all the positive comments are left by EVO users, who are using 2.2.

So, can anyone confirm that TAL works with 2.2 without problems?

That's what I do for newly released episodes, but the app lets you stream their entire archive... if it would actually work.

That's because the developer has no connection with TAL or PRI. The developer is selling a product that is streaming free programming. Maybe if enough people wrote in to TAL, they would release an app.

Actually, the Android app was developed by Public Radio Exchange, who produces TAL (PRI is the distributor). Recently, they released a bug fix with a note saying, "Fixed 'network unreachable' error for 2.1 phones", but commenters are saying it's not actually fixed.

EDIT: TAL's website says it's looking for feedback about their apps at [email protected]. I sent them a polite email about the neglected state of their app; other TAL fans should do the same.
