Does your Droid heat up?

Crazy

This morning my Droid heated up and the phone wouldn't turn on.

But I did the battery pull method and turned on again.

Anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks.

My phone also heats up and has a charging problem. Not sure whether anybody has seen such a problemor not however after I did a master reset, the phone is not charging from USB neither direct power, every time I have to restart the phone to do that and also the phone heats up while charging and while talking.

Any information and help regarding this would be appriciated.

Thanks for the advice... I am trying a reset one more time lets see if it works this time else there is no other option

Do you know what the temp was on the battery? A battery heating up when its charging or discharging is normal due to the electro chemical reaction of the ions in the battery. Did the battery get warm to the touch or was it so hot it would cause a burn? Any battery that recharges esp Lion can cause a fire. This does not happen often but it could happen. just throwing this out there you did not get the phone or the battery wet?

what i've heard is that motorola droids has overheating problems...thats y (mine is rooted) i dont overclock it to the max bc mine will heat up to >120F...800mhz but anyways mine heats up if i charge it so i cant charge it overnight...but i have to batteries (one extended and one regular)
my sister's droid overheats too

its a D1 thing

and also mine will stay at 140F when charging overnight (or a long time) ive used plenty of chargers (htc, samsung, lg)
my droid went up to 175F once which is bad...^ this never happened until 2 moths after i rooted my phone...SUCKS!
