Does your long press search button work

When I have my slide out keyboard closed the long press on the search button works as it should.

When I have my slide out keyboard open a single tap on the search button works as it should however the long press does not work at all.

Does anyone else have this problem on the droid 4??

Wow, I learned something new! Had no idea about the long press lol. Thanks!

And no, when the keyboard is out the long press does not work for me either. But I'd suspect they don't intend for it to work if you're opening the phone to use the keyboard. Still kind of odd to not allow it.

Well at least I know it's not just my phone... Does not make sense to me to shut it off just because the keyboard is open. I use if with tasker as my camera button since motorola has decided we do not need a camera button......

Wow, you are right.
With keyboard out it won't work.

But how about press shift+tab? Voice pops right up!

how about slide from SYM to space bar and back quick like. vuolia!! a hidden keyboard with page up and cut copy curser jump and a few more goodies. i know it works wit dx2 using swipe..

We were talking about a real, physical keyboard! No swipe or slide here!
