Don't like the dark text message background

I don't like the dark text message background on my Razr. Not enough contrast for my "over 40" eyes! I can't see any way to change it. Hope it gets changed when ICS comes...

Go download Handcent or Go SMS, more options, more customizable and able to change the colors!

The stock Texting app on the RAZR does not have changeable skins, as far as I am aware. Probably not with out root or modified APK.
