Double email applications.

Hi All.

My wife just got a new Rezound.
She is receiving duplicate email in the stock email application AND in the stock Gmail application.

I looked at my Rezound and I have no account set up in the Mail application.

Anyone know how to remove the one in hers?

it just doesn't bother me much.

I deleted my email account from the stock "mail" app and that seems to have fixed it for me. Now I only get the notifications from gmail.

well, one can not remove gmail from the email program. also, can not uninstall gmail app.

you can try going into system settings, accounts, then gmail with the red M and disable sync. however this may not work because one can not turn off the push mail or polling option.

edit: try setting push mail to manual. then never use Gmail app. but I am not sure how well this will work.

In the mail app, go to menu, more, settings, then you get a delete account option.

It Works!

Did exactly this ^^^^ deleted the "stock" @mail account (which was in fact, my linked gmail account) now I receive only through gmail account. Perfect! No more duplicate mail delivery.
