Double Notifications with SMS

I have Handcent which I like. But no matter what I do the Eris text app pops up first when I get a text. Then I have to close it and open Handcent. How do you stop it once and for all. I've clicked every option that I can think of but it just doesn't work.

+1 I was wondering the samething. I like handcent sms alot better then the factory sms. But how do you stop getting texts sent to the factory sms and only sent to hadcent sms?
