Download Unsuccessful, regardless of device .

Not sure that this is the right place nut here goes. I ran into a problem on my thunderbolt this evening where I was getting the error. 'download Unsuccessful ' for evvery application that I tried to download.

I wiped data, cache, uninstalled updates object market but nothing helped. So I logged I with my second gmail and everything is fine.

Then when I got home I found the same situation on my galaxy tab.

I can install from the market website but not from the app.

Does anyone have any ideas/solutions?

I don't have a t'bolt... but since you are rooted... why not change the Vending.apk name to Vending.apk.bak and then boot into recovery and clear dalvik. Then boot up.
Then download another Vending.apk from a themed market or something... or grab the stock one whatever... and drop it in system/app
change the permissions to match the other system apps (using root explorer)

and then boot into recovery again, and clear cache and dalvik.

Then boot up and see if the market works.

I was thinking it may not be the device but the account since the problem also occurs with his Tab. Unless I read that wrong...

Me too... but then I can't fix it... I was figuring that a test of that nature would ensure it was an account issue... because after that.. the next is really just to call who ever deals with google checkout I guess...? You can contact all the devs of the apps you purchased and have them transfer you to a new account I think... but that really would be a pain. Figured that the OP might as well try a software fix first before dealing with the bureaucracy.

So my downloads are working now. I think Google may have set up some sort of throttle. After 24hrs my downloads started working again.
