RE:

Based on the build below, I modified for the 1/2 mile. Have gotten times in the 14.48X range, which are RARELY beat.

3.45
3.850
2.626
2.171
1.530
1.192
1.003
.880

The good thing about this build is that it loves Perfect Shifts, making the timing easy. Late shifts going into 3,4, or 5 will shave a hundredth off your time. You can shift late going into 6th (slightly) which seems to pick up a hundredth or so. As posted before, shift immediately into 2nd at the start and nos at as soom as you shift to 3. Even a bad run will br 14.50X and will beat most cars out there.

some general tuning tips that apply to most cars, but mostly level 3 and above...

gear it so that you launch straight into second roughly 1000 rpm below redline, and have 2nd high enough so that the rpm drop is juuussstt minimal but without the rpm gauge locking up. from here tune 3rd in conjunction with tuning your NOS power to provide a quick burn through third and steady acceleration through 4th. figure things out from there.

and always always always always save tuning presets before you change anything!!!!

/edit/ of course as you upgrade the tuning needs to be set to maximize what upgrades you currently have. I generally start with the honda s2000, max it then save enough $$$ and rp to max the
level 2 bmw (forgot the name, it costs 45 thousand to buy). i repeat maxing and tuning with the beamer and then save up and buy the ferrari 599 rosso. the 599 rosso is a staple level 7 car. it cannot be beat by anything else on the level 7 half mile except by a better tuned rosso. /edit/

9ff GT9-R,

Upgrade to 5/5/1/4/5/5, tune to 120% nitrous and tick 5th up one hundredth to .890

Impressive quarter mile times for a mostly stock tune. I modded this a liiitttle bit and knocked off 2 extra hundredths.
