droid 1 in droid 2 shell

i have searched and came up with nothing. does anyone know if the droid 1 internals will fit in the droid 2 shell.

i was at costco today and saw a droid 2 with a white shell and liked it very much. but at the same time i love my D1 and was just wondering if it would work?
