DROID 2 calendar stock app not deleting old enteries

I was fiddling around with the DROID 2 stock app calendar settings (Calendar -> 'menu button' -> +More -> Calendar) last night and, although I pressed 'cancel' at this screen, appointments that I had deleted six months ago have reappeared on my calendar and won't delete.

I have resetted and battery pulled. Any other thoughts?
