There has been some comments made from some individuals who have said that the feel of the Droid 2 felt cheap to the original Droid. Well, size and weight they are about the same.
It's not like I decided to conduct an experiment but I have dropped my D2 no less the 15 times in the past 72 hours. It's probably more then that.
So how does one go about doing this?
Well the first day was just excitement and stuff. Within 5 minutes out of the box I dropped banging off my desk to my carpeted floor. I have a number of those.
Last night I kind of nodded off while I was surfing the forum and I heard this crash/bam noise. The Droid had slipped off my easy chair, hit a marble table and then crashed to a thin carpet on a concrete floor.
No damage.
One of the things I did find interesting is you notice how they got rid of the gold painted camera button? Think they had a few turned in for paint chips?
Anyway after my serious of hard test I think it's safe to say that this Droid is indeed just as durable as it older brother. I'm sure other test results will come in but it looks pretty solid to me.
