Droid 2 getting hot

I've noticed recently that my phone is getting very warm especially when I have headphones plugged in at work. Then when I go to plug it in to charge it stays warm and will not charge past 50%. Is anyone else having this problem and know what could be causing it?

I have a droid 2 and also notice that my phone will get warm at times. Maybe try killing all apps, and let it sit for a while. My phone will cool down after not being used for a bit.

hmmm well if your really looking to reduce heat you might want to read on rooting. before i rooted while my droid was charging it would reach 103-104.9F. After i went through the root process and got jrummy's app "droid overclock" which allows you to overclock the processer for speed and underclock it for battery life and low temps. Once installing that app i can now charge my D2 with temps rarely gettin above 98.4F and takes around an hour to fully charge with a griffin electric 1A usb wall charger on top of that. What are your temps running at?
