Droid 2 Home Button Not Working

I've read that others have had this issue on other Droid phones, so I don't think this is specific to the D2...and I didn't really see any solutions.

When I press the home button, the screen flashes but does nothing.
I have to hit the back button numerous time to get back to the home screen.
Annoying.

The issue went away for a while after I reset it twice, but then came back a few days later.
I tried resetting again, but that didn't work.

I am using the MagicLocker unlocker...but I had been using it for months before the issue started.

The phone is about a year and a half old. I really like the phone and don't want to upgrade to something else yet.
Any ideas on fixing this issue?

I cleared the cache and data from the MagicLocker app and that did the trick, until MagicLocker went though the setup process again, and then the home button issue popped up again.
So I uninstalled MagicLocker completely and that seems to have fixed the issue.
I guess there was an update to MagicLocker or something and that caused the home button to screw up...?
Weird.
Hopefully it stays fixed. Damn shame...I was a fan of MagicLocker.
