Well i currently have the new software 2.3.3 on my DROID 2 that i updated through the phone. And recently the email error triangle symbol comes up and says something bout a certificate and goin to settings or retry and it wont even let me send emails thru the phone. I had to completely remove the account and add it again.

Also i wanted to clear the entire phone cache....so i held x, powered phone on, android guy with triangle came on, pressed the button and nothing happens. I pressed every button and it doesnt do anything. I did this sequence before the new software on my phone and it worked. Idk what is goin on with this phone since the new software released.

FB widget goes crazy and doesnt update and freezes, email gets messed up, phone doesnt clear cache, it still randomly restarts itself....etc

First and foremost, are you using Live/Hotmail, and receiving a certificate error? I currently use Live, and I receive that error every so often. I hit "retry" in that email account, and it's back to normal.

When the "triangle" comes up, you hit both volume rockers at the same time to bring up Recovery.

The FB Android app is terrible. It's always updated, but never really addresses any major complaints.

yah i use hotmail but i use the hotmail app on the phone that i added an account for and it just started not allowing me to send emails but i can receive them
