Droid 2 Questions

hey sorry fairly new with the droid 2 and was wondering how everyone has such nice home screens and widgits? i have launcher pro but not rooted. do i have to root my phone for my phone to be nice and cool looking like other peoples? any information on how to or what to download from the marketplace? thank you

Well you could get a weather and clock widget. Most people have one of those on their home screen. Try beautiful widgets or fancy widget.
