Droid 2 trouble updating apps

My wife has a stock Droid 2 and she is constantly having trouble updating apps. They almost always fail to update. I read before about deleting the android secure file from the sd which worked a few times but now nothing i do seems to help. Anyone have any ideas?

Unmount the SD card and try updating

Ok i'll have her give that a try. But what about apps that are on the SD, Angry Birds is one that comes to mind. Will it update?

I dunno. Give it a try. If it doesn't then move it back to the phone and try it again without the sdcard mounted
