Hey

I'm having trouble trying to update my droid 2 to 2.3.3, I do have it rooted, and I've factory reset my phone, and then re-rooted and tried to update, the reason why I kept the root, is because, I do not want to lose the root when I update to gingerbread, the last droid I had, I updated it, and I lost the root permanently, and I was very unhappy with it.. so I just eventually used it until it fell apart, and got a new one, and I do not want the same thing to happen again, I tried "OTA Root Keeper", but I was unable to update the software >_>

And I'm currently running Android 2.2, I think it's Froyo, should I just do it through the recovery menu, if so, can you guys give me a link to the 2.3.3 update? I do not want to OTA update just in-case OTA Root Keeper Fails.

Any help/suggestions?

Thanks

Just use RSD Lite or EZSbf and flash 2.2.3. If you take the update OTA you'll be on 2.3.4 with no way to go back.

MIUI tested, mother approved.

Can you give me a certified 2.3.3 flash, I'm very new to this, and I don't want to softbrick my phone, as that's the only phone I have at the moment and I need it for work.. :p

EDIT: I found the SBF file, used RSDLite with no problems, and was able to update to 2.3.3, thanks for your help man!!
