Droid 3 Bluetooth drops calls when hooked up to 2011 Hyundai Sonata

My stock VZ Droid 3 works great with my visor mounted hands-free in my pickup but when I try to use it in my wife Sonata it seems to hookup fine and I can start a call but a few seconds in I can't hear anything and caller can't hear me then I have to hangup and recall and the whole cycle starts all over again. The Bluetooth worked until I wiped the phone and reset it using my google business primary account. After that I deleted the phone from the Sonata and set it up again. Re-installed the phone in the car a few times with the same result. Any suggestions out there??
