Droid 3 issues...

Recently switched from BB to my Droid 3. Love the phone, love it's feature (minus the battery life), but it has been really buggy. Shutting off on it's own, screen going black but remaining on, among a few small other things. I went to the Verizon store where I purchased it and the guy told me a factory reset would fix the problems. It seemed like a bunch of sh*t to me so I have not done it yet. I was wondering if there is any merit to a factory reset. I feel like a reset will do next to nothing but being a first time Droid owner I figured I would come here and ask first.

Thank you in advance guys =).

Factory resets aren't 100% effective at fixing bugs by any means, but I would definitely try it. I think VZW tells you this because they'd rather you factory reset first in order to possibly avoid giving you a warranty replacement.
