Droid 3 suddenly not recognized by computer

My Droid 3 is suddenly not recognized by my computer, and vice versa. I know it's not a cord problem, because the cord works fine for the MiFi broadband. It's a new cord purchased at Verizon specifically for my phone and worked fine a week ago.

Could the connection problem be in any way related to the phone having been paired up recently with my car's blue tooth? That's the only new experience in my phone's life that I can think of.

Just verify that it is an OEM motorola cable. I had this same issue because I was using a different microUSB. It would charge but not connect to my PC.
