hi- i just bought a droid a855 for my husband, weve had tons of other droids. in which when you access the seetings and go inot all apps you can chose to disable apps you dont use/want....
on this phone he doesnt use twitter or facebook-nor wants to see them on his phone- there is no diable or uninstall option, only force close. does anyone know how to get rid of these apps...or hide them so their not annoying... thanks!

Are you sure that this is a A855? The reason that I ask is because mine didn't have those apps on it. I would have had to add them if i wanted them.

Anyway, yes, you can remove built-in apps. First, the phone has to be rooted. Then An app called Titanium Backup can be used to uninstall the apps. Must be careful though and not break something else. Freezing for a while, then after a few weeks uninstalling is a good idea.
