droid acting funny

I have a motorola droid original and one of two thhings will happen:
1) it randomly starts selecting stuff onscreen
OR
2) the home button (ind any item above it) will not work excetup to select the item directly to the left of the one i want

This is a known problem with the original moto droid, I believe it to be hardware related...there is no cure. If it's not too frequent and you can live with it (normally just turning the screen off and on will clear it) then cool. If it's driving you nuts (and it will eventually, it just gets worse) & you have insurance it's time for a replacement, if you don't then you'll have to pony up and buy a new phone...sorry
