Droid apps on screen and in storage

New here so not really sure what you call it but when I take an app out of the storage area i guess ill call it the grey arrow at bottom you pull up. Then put the app on one of the 3 screens the app still remains in that storage area. Is there any way for it not to still be in that particular place and only on one of your three screens? I see no reason to have it in both places. Thx

i think what it is, is it just makes shortcut to the app from the menu.. its not actually moving the app from storage.
