Droid be quiet, I'm on the phone.

Hello,

Dumb question here, but I've been unable to find an answer or an app for this.

My problem is this. When I'm on the phone I want it to be silent about alarms or notifications. I turned off call waiting to get rid of the annoying loud beep in my ear. I have voicemail when I'm in a call they can go to that. My alarms and text messages don't beep at me but the vibrate function goes off. This is both uncomfortable and loud against my ear. How can I delay all such functions during a call? I don't want to turn off vibrate because at times I need it and I don't always hear my phone in my pocket and at times I need to have it not ring.

Is there an app for that?

If you switch to Handcent SMS, you should be able to achieve this for SMS and MMS. Not sure what you can do about e-mail notifications.

I thought when I got notifications on a call it was just a beep in my ear. Not the "Drooooid" notification or something else.

No it doesn't beep. If you have it set to vibe it will do that. All of my notifications are set to vibrate even when they have a ringtone. That to me is very loud and startling when it goes off next to your ear.

I imagine it would be. :)

I have mine set to vibrate and ring but I've just had that set up for about a month. I don't recall if in that time I've experienced receiving another call.
