Droid Cache Issue

Hello ppl im new here.

i had a quick question in regards to a droid cache issue.

i heard that after about a year a droid phone will substantially slow down because there are certain Caches you can not clear (one being the phone cache) and they end up building up and up. is this true? i was considering buying a droid for the first time and im a pretty heavy phone user and dont want to see a kink in its performance after 1 year

Thanks in advance.

i think i depends on the phone and the ui that's installed. when i had an eris, i would sometimes clear the call history to free up space. i've had my bionic since september and when i checked a minute ago there was no cache in either the dialer or dialer storage, so looks like this phone doesn't cache anything related to the phone functions. there are many reasons for a device like this to slow down over time, just like it does on your pc, and there are simple ways to fix it when it does happen.
