droid camera side button

this is so annoying. it happens to me often. If I wanna take a quick snap of something, I hold down the camera button on the side of the phone and feel the vibrate but the camera still doesnt open. It also annoys me that the camera takes forever to boot up. any good camera apps out there?

been happening to me lately as well - I just put a shortcut of the camera app on my homescreen
