droid eris, gmail help

I'm sure this question has been asked and I'm sorry, but this is my first time on this web site and I dont know where to look for the answer.

I have the droid eris which i set a password on it, well my friend had my phone, trying to figure out the password, and locked me out of my phone.

I did create a gmail account, but failed to write it down. Is there any way that i can reset the gmail account for my phone?

Try going to Gmail.com and resetting your password that way.
