Now that I've figured out this site I was hoping to get some help figuring out why my droid has been acting so slowly lately. It sometimes won't let me do certain things at all, I can't upload photos to facebook nor can I delete photos at all. I'm lucky to be able to access my photos lately. I can't play any games because my phone freezes and sometimes just to text i have to flip my phone around so the icon's will work. This all seemed to have started recently when the new layout upgrade thing came out. Since then my phone has been really slow and doesn't seem to work right while doing most things. I was wondering if there was any way to take this new upgrade off or to somehow speed my phone up so I can delete some pictures/upload them to facebook/play games/text normally again because it's really frustrating not being able to. Thanks :)

Your only option from this point is a hard reset, but you will lose any and all information not backed up by Google or on your SD card.

Also, please don't cross-post between forums.

sorry, i put it under the wrong thing and realized it too late and don't know how to switch it over... anyway, how do I do a hard reset?

You hold "X" while powering the phone on. At the "triangle," press both volume rockers. At that point, use the left/right arrows on your keyboard to highlight "factory reset" and the "enter" key to select.

And if the factory reset doesn't work, your phone freezes again, don't touch it, take it to a Verizon store in the frozen state. That will convince the reps that something really is wrong, and you may get a replacement on the spot.
