droid glitch? or so Verizon tells me.....

I have been having problems with my droid since I got it ( June 2,2010). Here's the problem: I'm on a call and all of the sudden it sounds like my phone is dead.... the person I was talking to can hear me however I cannot hear them and it sounds like I 'm not connected. Verizon told me that it was a glitch and that google knows about this glitch and that an update was coming out to address this "glitch". I was told this in June, July, and on August 3. I know the 2.2 update came out. Does anyone knowif the 2.2 update is addressing this glitch?
