Droid in the toilet

So my Droid somehow ended up in the toilet a few weeks back (yes, it was clean) and I wasn't able to get it out for about 30-45 seconds (got stuck in the suck hole, stop laughing). Anyway, a new one is on the way (hopefully by the time I get home) and was curious if the Micro SD card that was in the phone will work in my new phone? I'm hoping so because I obviously had a lot of info on it. Anybody have any similar experiences? Thanks for any help!

It was clean... toilets are NEVER clean in my opinion!

Bummer man.. I would think the SD just MIGHT be okay as long as you let it dry and give it a shot..

LOL It was clean as it could be at the time anyway. I'll let everybody know what the verdict is tonight when I get home from work. I guess I'm afraid that if I do it that it could possibly damage my new one?

OK, the phone came in earlier than I thought and with the brief time I got to spend with it looks like it the disc does work! Unfortunately I know have the task of re-entering my contacts and getting back the apps I've lost.

Contacts for sure and probably apps 'should' all get reloaded after first boot while syncing. Does for me after installing a fresh ROM.

Too bad. Over in our FAQ's we do have a thread for what to do if a Droid gets wet. You may want to check it out just in case it happens again. ;)

I stand corrected, I just went back and noticed all my contacts were still there! I'm very happy now :)

I am happy for you too, haha. Glad things turned out OK. Just try not to take your droid to the john anymore!
