Now that I have my speed dial numbers in place, how do I get to them without going through 3 processes. Right now I'm going to speed dial, then the name pops up, then I press the number. It's just as easy to go to my contacts list. Is there a quicker way. I'm very very new to Droid. Actually, this is my first smartphone and I'm lost. Ready to take it back.

Try creating a shortcut (tap, menu, tap shortcut, tap direct dial) that will give you a single tap to make a call. If you are shout of space make a short cut folder then add the direct dials to the folder.
